The Monte Cristo Project

King Family Opens Financial Counselling Venture

(5/18/09) “Bruce and Chris King of Mocha Maya’s Coffee House, along with their father, Tyrone King and lifelong friend and business associate William Bandera have launched a new company called The Monte Cristo Project. The company stems from observing a continuing troubled economy coupled with a population that seems to be at a loss on how to best cope with their own financial situation.

“We believe in the current economy that the best approach is a ‘proactive approach’. We all need to take responsibility for our personal finances and work towards a point of ‘personal financial sustainability’. Once we have accomplished this we then have the means to help our neighbor, our community and then ultimately our country.” says Chris King.

The Monte Cristo Project takes a multi-tiered approach to eliminating both personal and business debt in the shortest amount of time while simultaneously building net worth and improving standards of living. The team uses educational forums, computer technologies, and good old fashioned common sense to help communities, one individual at a time, eliminate mortgage and personal and business debt and reduce current expenses such as taxes, while building personal and community resilience in a struggling national and global economy.
The team offers a free analysis that is completely confidential with results guaranteed. Personal account numbers are not required, so people can feel comfortable with the free analysis.

The program works on all types of personal and business debt, but does not involve debt consolidation, debt negotiation or refinancing. “We put the control in your hands with a plan that is guaranteed to work,” says Chris King. “The idea for this sort of company came to me about 10 years ago but it wasn’t until the current economic situation that I thought the timing was right to pull everything we have learned together and not only start applying it myself but make it available to others,” he says.

“My father, who has over 46 years in banking and was vice president of a top 10 US bank, has brought a lot to the table for us. He has an incredible understanding of how banking and money in general functions in our society,” says King.

“In order for me to feel less at the mercy of our current economy and give the program a test drive, I put myself on the program. I owed some $74,000 in personal and business debt (with a previous pay-off date of 15.6 years). I am now using the program and without any major changes in my life style, am now working smarter than harder. My new ‘debt freedom date’ is only 4.9 years away and I am on track to save over $10,000 in interest payments.” says King. “Furthermore, I have only applied one facet of the program to date and am excited to personally apply the others as they come off the production line.”
