SFABA and ValleyLists.com Forge Agreement

New Member Benefit is a win-win for businesses and SFABA

(4/1/09) The SFABA has joined with SFABA member ValleyLists.com in a joint marketing activity that will provide a new member-member benefit as well as potential income for the Association.

For each SFABA member who signs up with ValleyLists.com, the SFABA will receive a commission of $10. In addition, SFABA members who join ValleyLists.com will receive a 15 month initial membership – three months free with a one year membership.

ValleyLists.com is building a West County Community Resource Data Base which will create and strengthen strong locally-oriented economic cooperation. The data base will also serve those who are visiting this area.

The goal of the ValleyLists.com data base is to create:

• listings for businesses, non-profit organizations, and informal groups located in West County or serving West County residents;
• listings for individuals who have useful skills and are willing to share their knowledge;
• notices of West County meetings, activities, classes, workshops, and events open to the public;
• free West County oriented classified ads for members;
• listings for all governmental agencies and officials who serve West County residents, and
• discussion forums for any West County group that would like one.

The span of ValleyLists.com will be the entire Connecticut River Watershed, and all West County member listings will be available to people who live outside of the immediate region.

ValleyLists.com has no paid advertising other than the listings of businesses who pay an annual subscription fee. Businesses may join for $50.00/year and all others pay $25.00 per year.

This joint SFABA/ValleyLists.com effort will bring income to the SFABA in the form of a $10.00 commission for each new SFABA member subscription.

SFABA Board member Will Flanders, founder of ValleyLists.com, will contact SFABA members to explain the benefits of joining and helping to create the West County Community Resource Data Base for our communities.
