Members Add Technology Expertise
(9/4/09) SFABA members Daniel Lieberman and Cheryl Handsaker have joined the SFABA Communications Committee.
Lieberman, a technology consultant, is interested in exploring how newer social networking strategies can benefit the organization, and has stepped up to write news articles and help manage the Events Calendar on the new SFABA Website.
Handsaker, who with her husband Bob runs Charlemont Software & Web Works, a software consulting and development company offering computer software consulting, web services, and software development, brings her expertise in Joomla to the table. Joomla is the programming platform on which the Shelburne Falls Website is built.
The Communications Committee is a standing committee of the SFABA Board, and is responsible for designing and managing the new shelburnefalls.com Website and assisting in developing communication strategies and tactics to engage membership, build relationships, and to promote the organization, its members and the area to advance the goals of the SFABA. The Committee has been instrumental in refocusing the Bulletin as a monthly electronic newsletter.
Handsaker and Lieberman join communications strategist Larry Flaccus on the committee. In addition to running Kenburn Orchards Bed and Breakfast and farm, Flaccus serves as a consultant to develop effective communications strategies for leaders and employees in companies of all sizes.
The Communications Committee meets on the first Friday of each month, and welcomes input from other SFABA members.
