SFABA Business Roundtable: Social Media

Panel Discussion To Review Cutting Edge Technology for Business

(12/13/09) Do terms like 'Facebook', 'Twitter', and 'Yelp' leaving you puzzled and confused? Would you like to know how to leverage new technology to advance your business goals?

If so, join SFABA members for a Roundtable on Social Media, Wednesday, January 6, 2010, from 7:30-9:00 AM Downstairs at Arms Library (enter at rear).

Daniel Lieberman, The Donkeys' Union and member of the SFABA Communications Committee will introduce Social Media, and then open the floor to questions and answers with a business member panel, including Brian Hayes (Lamson & Goodnow), Chris King (Mocha Maya's), Jeff Kostiuk (Country Roads). There's a lot of interest in this subject - look forward to a lively discussion, and come prepared with your questions and ideas!

Topics include Social Media channels and how they fit the strategies of different businesses. For example, business professionals and consultants find LinkedIn.com an essential networking tool, while Bed and Breakfast owners build fan communities on Facebook, and restaurants leverage the real-time power of Twitter and the mobile might of Yelp.com.

Discussion will focus on the opportunities these new technologies offer without ignoring the threats they may pose. Learn to avoid traps that lurk for the unwary on this frontier, without forgoing its vast potential.

Coffee and pastries will be provided thanks to Mocha Maya's.

Free to members; $5.00 to non-members (join the SFABA and attend for free!)
