Real Estate

The real estate market is truly unique in the area. While suburban housing developments are non-existent, there are clusters of new and old homes located in town centers and off the beaten track. There is a wide range in pricing, largely dependent on acreage and amenities.

The tradition continued through the Industrial Revolution, with early metal foundries and factories which produced tools and machinery for early farmers. Today that history is captured in numerous museums and histories societies in many of the area towns.
