Calendar of Events

The Town of Buckland will hold a hearing on suggested content for the 2010 Community Development Block Grant Application.

The types of activities that are funded by the CDBG program include:

    * Housing rehabilitation on homes or apartments where more than 51% of the residents are Low and Moderate Income, using the HUD’s annual income limits.
    * Making public buildings handicapped accessible
    * Sign and façade improvements to commercial buildings
    * Senior center construction or renovation where there is site control by the Town
    * Demolition or clearance of a blighted property that affects public health and safety
    * Infrastructure improvements (road and sidewalk repair, sewer and water system repairs) on a section of a street where more than 51% of the residents of that street are low or moderate income
    * Public Social Activities
