adventure on the high seas! MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY
A hearty, engrossing retelling of a historic incident as tyrannically evil Capt. Bligh (an unforgettable Charles Laughton) pushes his crew so far that they snap and claim the ship for their own. A bracing tale of the importance of respect and duty and an insightful parable on the complexity of human nature. Storytelling at its best. Based on the Nordhoff-Hall book. Clark Gable, Franchot Tone. Directed by Frank Lloyd. 1935. NR. B&W. 132 min.
