Programs for Farmers and Landowners of Farms and Fields

Are you interested in learning more about resources that can help you keep your land in active agriculture, or support your agricultural business? What about programs that keep your land open for wildlife, or restore natural resources on your property?

This workshop will feature four programs designed to support farmers and landowners of farms and fields:

  • Agricultural Preservation Restriction Program (APR)
  • Farm Viability
  • Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)
  • Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP)

These programs offer funding and technical assistance to qualifying landowners to help you reach your goals for your land. Come and meet farmers and landowners who have participated in these programs, as well as the folks that administer them. Presenters include:

  • Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources
  • Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)
  • Murdock Dairy Farm (Winchendon)
  • Hartman's Herb Farm (Barre)
  • Maggie's Farm (Orange)
  • Franklin Land Trust
  • Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust
