Embodying Story

FREE and open to all women of all ages. Archetypal myths and stories can offer us a framework for understanding the stories in our own lives. Using movement, artwork, and writing,we will explore the connections of our own stories to the myth of Inanna, the Goddess of the Underworld. This journey can help us to find meaning, feel less alone in our struggles, and recognize and change things we would like to be different.

Carolyn Wallace, LICSW, is psychotherapist in Greenfield and Northampton. Certified as a yoga teacher at the 500-hour level, Carolyn has led many expressive movement workshops at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, where she served as a yoga instructor, a yoga-dance teacher, and workshop leader from 2004-2006. She has training in: Expressive Movement therapy, which incorporates movement, art and writing into the therapeutic process; Body-Centered Gestalt psychotherapy; and other more traditional therapeutic modalities. Carolyn strives to support integration and wholeness in the individuals with whom she has the privilege to work.
