Salmon Falls Gallery (1 Ashfield St): Winter’s Bone: Photographs by Carl Nardiello, reception 4-6pm with music by Al Canali. The exhibit Winter’s Bone by photographer Carl Nardiello is a series of ongoing photographic studies inspired by the forms, color, and light of late fall and winter. When the dominant foliage of summer falls away, fresh layers of landscape reveal themselves. Each day, each shift of weather and wind, creates new contexts. The capture of such images is one of feeling, of intuition, and a precise use of technology. Exhibit runs from May 5 – June 25. (Photo left)

Keystone Market (44 Bridge St): Grab a free cookie for mom at the deli!

Shelburne Arts Cooperative (26 Bridge St): "A World Beneath Our Feet", Rag rugs by Lynda Faye and floor cloths by Joanne Gold are 19th-century crafts brought into the 21st century. The artists experiment with vivid color and bold patterns for these traditional floor coverings, moving them from utilitarian objects to usable art. Reception 2-5 pm with live music and refreshments. (Photo right)

The Arms Library (60 Bridge St): will host an event at 4 PM in the basement to make the town aware of the statewide drive for 100% renewable energy! The purpose of the event is to encourage folks in West County to advocate for 100% renewable energy within their towns and at the state wide level.  It is a campaign being sponsored by MA Forward; towns all across the state are signing on and working for the goal both in individual towns and on the legislative level. There will be slide shows, speakers, & refreshments. Sarah Pirtle will sing for us, Ageless Waves of Rhythm, a drumming group, and a lovely Earth mother puppet will greet folks at the door. Plus, at 5:30, they will be showing the film: the Future of Energy (that people may come to separately, or stay for…yet leaving if they wish) It runs for  about an hour and is inspiring as it shows the many communities across the nation that have worked for and been able to have their communities sign on to this goal of 100% renewable energy!
