Join Us for the First Art Walk of the Year!

Art Walk

The Art Walk highlights the artisans and craftspeople in the village, with businesses offering special events like book signings, artist receptions, new exhibits, and musical offerings.

Shelburne Falls artisans, restaurants, and shops will be open for our first Art Walk of the year on Saturday, May 7th at the NEW TIME. Beginning at 2pm and continuing until 6pm, galleries, shops, and bookstores will be open to welcome Spring! After the Walk, stick around to enjoy dinner in one of several wonderful restaurants.

Featured events include:

Salmon Falls Gallery, 1 Ashfield Street
"Interludes," a collection of new works by Bernardston fiber artist Cheryl Rezendes. Meet the artist at the reception 4-6pm with music by harpist Rosemary Caine.

Fox DreamMcCusker’s Market, 3 State Street
Work by Lilian R. Jackman features intricate images formed from letterpress script and ornaments as well as bold linocut prints, a folk art form well developed in Central America. The display includes the recent series "Los Trabajadoros de Granada."

Ann Brauer Quilt Studio, 2 Conway Street
“New Quilts for a New Studio.” Come see my new quilts inspired by a new studio and new views as spring gradually comes to Shelburne Falls.

The Art Garden, 14 Depot Street
The Art Garden presents an exhibition of watercolors by Ashfield artist, Ardath Garfield. Ardath's whimsical and poignant paintings celebrate the life of her imaginary character, Frida Gladheart. Meet the artist from 2pm - 6pm and experiment with watercolors yourself. Light refreshments available.

Shelburne Falls Booksellers, 1 Deerfield Avenue, offers a nice selection of fine used and antiquarian books including: literature, Americana, local histories, natural history and field guides, maritime, poetry, & art. Also small antiques, framed art and ephemera.
