Artisans and artists at The Mill at Shelburne Falls, located at 49 Conway St. Buckland, MA, welcome the public to a reception for Fall OpeningsPlus+, a new gallery show featuring resident makers on Friday, October 9, from 5-7 p.m. Additional studios will be open throughout the Mill buildings.  The Windsor Jazz-Blues Workshop: Special Edition provides the soundtrack to the open house from 6-8 p.m.  Featuring Euguene Uman on keys, Claire Arenius on drums and a bass player, the jazz workshop is for amateur, professional and hobbyist jazz musicians looking to play with a professional rhythm section. Musicians and vocalists at every stage of their musical journey are invited to bring their instruments and sit in with the group. The focus is on jazz standards. This is a free public event. The Mill at Shelburne Falls is sited on the banks of the Deerfield River and the sustainable energy gained from the river supports a unique collection of makers and artists working in glass, ceramics, wood and fiber arts. It has free onsite parking at 49 Conway Street and is located on the Buckland side of the Iron Bridge at Shelburne Falls.
