Promote interest and knowledge of the history of Buckland. Carry on research relative to the history and background of the Town of Buckland.  Collect and preserve articles, documents, and relics of historical interest connected with the Town of Buckland.

Historical education regarding the town of Buckland.  Visitors come from Franklin County and further.

History


Founded in 1957

A group of Buckland residents established the Buckland Historical Society Inc. to collect and preserve articles, records, documents and relics of historical interest to Buckland.  The Society oversees a Museum at 20 Upper St., Buckland and the Wilder Homestead at 129, Rte 112, Buckland.  Programs and events are held for the general public.  The Society has been recently raising funds and restoring the 1780 English Barn at the Wilder Homestead.
